Farmers See Soybean Projects First Hand
By Rich Maples
Each year, hundreds of soybean producers see first-hand the work being done by the
researchers and Extension specialists and county agents of the University of Arkansas
Division of Agriculture to improve soybean yields and economic returns.
Field days often highlight the projects funded by the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board.
The events are conducted on farms and at U of A Research and Extension centers and branch
stations.
In addition to helping fund field days, the state Soybean Promotion Board co-sponsors
meetings such as the Arkansas Soybean Research Conference, the Tri-State Soybean Forum and
the Southern Soybean Conference.
